The winning image in the Portrait Cup (slides) was my first ever portrait, of my elderly mother. She sat in her front room, natural winter light was streaming through casting these deep shadows and accentuating the wrinkles in an elderly face. Needless to say my mother wasn't very impressed with the wrinkles!
The images I took in colour didn't have the same impact as the mono film, Agfa Scala, brilliant for creating mood and feeling.
