This member of a larger pack of Painted Wolves, resting in the soft ground at their den.There were eight puppys, that accomponied the adults on a hunt.The teenagers kept the youngsters in line and after a short distance took them back to the den. This was one of the first tastes of hunting in the pack. Painted Wolves are Africas most successful hunters, 80 per cent kill rate.This image was taken before the hunt began, a relaxed, alert puppy.
