Lightning has always fascinated me, full of anticipation when the hot weather starts.Very warm conditions can result in very localised heavy storms. Flash floods, high winds, thunder and lightning all acompany these storms.Trying to take an image is a demanding task. For this image I positioned myself on a rooftop balcony, tripod set up, cable release, and on B setting in the camera. It was a question of when and if I would get the image I was after. It can take a roll or two of film but eventually the results are worth it.This can be very dangerous to attempt this, the safe distance from a storm is approximately 10 miles. This you can never be certain.
